Hi Stratman,

I'll take you at your word that you aren't angry and that you sleep well at night. I certainly didn't get that impression from your posts, which seemed full of anger. I'm glad that you are happy. And I certainly don't blame you for trying to address the problem throught the proper channels.

I agree that most of your posts were replies. I disagree that most of the posts were degrading -- just because someone disagrees with you does not make them degrading. And as far as someone referring to you as as bitter old people, I don't see how that is any worse than you referring to people as redneck morons.

You also refer to "FULLTIME KARAOKE". I thought it was just 3 hours on Friday and Saturday nights? How is that full-time?

I agree that in a perfect world businesses would not impose on the public -- but it happens all the time. If Chuck's was doing something that all of the people in your cove disagreed with -- then I would agree that it was "a show of COMPLETE DISRESPECT"; but since many people in your community like what's happening at Chuck's then it seems more a matter of personal taste/choice.

I also don't see how someone suggesting that you relocate is such a disrespectul thing. If I live in a neighborhood and a WalMart is built across the street, I would consider moving -- not trying to get WalMart shut down. But then that's just me. Or maybe even a better example would be, if you lived in a slough with a bunch of folks who are just part-timers, and then they all sold to people who were full-timers, you would lose some of your peace and serenity -- and you might consider relocating. It's not like your entire lineage is buried on the property -- just find another piece of heaven on the lake (or don't -- I don't really care).

And how did you convert me laying a trap to "lying is an asset of yours"? All I did was refrain from stating in my original post whether or not I was for or against karaoke at Chuck's and whether or not I frequent Chuck's during karaoke. That's not lying -- but your attitude seems to be, "if you aren't with me -- then you're against me". My point is, regardless of whether you are right or wrong about karaoke, your APPROACH leaves something to be desired (in my humble opinion).

I don't really know why I'm in this discussion, except that I just hate to see people get so riled up that they can't see the forest for the trees.

But then, I doubt that anything I say (or post) is going to have much of an effect on you.
